After falling off the roof at a New Year’s Eve house party, Owen (Bryan Greenberg) decides that it’s time to make some wholesale changes in his life. Over the next year, he quits drinking, reconnects with his son, reignites old friendships, and falls in love with Vera, a bank teller and fellow divorcee. It’s released by Vision Films to DVD and VOD November 24, 2015 for Thanksgiving.

Contest: Win a DVD of “A Short History of Decay” Starring Bryan Greenberg

Posted on May 19, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Short History of Decay will be out on DVD June 10, 2014, and I am delighted to have copies to give away.

Bryan Greenberg (Friends with Benefits, Bride Wars, Prime), Linda Lavin (“Alice”), Harris Yulin (Training Day), Kathleen Rose Perkins (“NCIS: Los Angeles”), and Emmanuelle Chriqui (“Entourage”) star in a story about a guy (Greenberg) who can’t get it together. He is temping at an ad agency while trying to write plays, novels, and screenplays without ever finishing anything.  His ambitious novelist girlfriend (Chriqui) is about to publish her first book, so he finally gets fed up and decides to do some serious work and finish something. But then his father has stroke, so he has to leave Brooklyn for Florida to deal with his father’s failing health and his mother’s early Alzheimer’s. Nathan gets a crash course in love, loyalty, family, and forgiveness in this dark comedy about stepping up when your parents are going downhill. A terrific supporting cast includes veteran stage and screen stars Linda Lavin and Harris Yulin as Nathan’s stricken parents, and Kathleen Rose Perkins as his mother’s manicurist.

To enter, send me an email at moviemom@moviemom.com with “Decay” in the subject line and tell me your favorite novelist.  Don’t forget your address!  (US addresses only)  I’ll pick winners at random on May 25.  Good luck!
