I’ll Be At the Third Metric Conference: Huffington/Brzezinski

Posted on June 1, 2013 at 8:00 am

I’m honored to be participating in a conference organized by Arianna Huffington and Mika Brzezinski in New York next week called “The Third Metric.”

The current (predominantly male) model of success virtually requires driving ourselves into the ground.  What if as a culture we decided to make a dramatic shift? What if we decided to gauge success in terms of well-being, wisdom and the ability to make a difference in the world?

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on how to define success with other participants including Jill Abramson, Candice Bergen, Mark Bertolini, Cynthia Brill, Carolyn Buck Luce, Joanna Coles, Katie Couric, Zeke Emanuel, Susie Essman, Patricia Fitzgerald, Desiree Gruber, Angie Hicks, Mark Hyman, Amishi Jha, Nancy Josephson, Jacki Kelly, Sallie Krawcheck, Alexandra Lebenthal, Jody Greenstone Miller, Anne Ornish, Dean Ornish, Emily Senay, Sue Gebo, Susan Sobbott, George Stephanopoulos, Elsa Walsh, and Cali Yost.  I’ve already submitted a blog post about the one four-letter word I won’t use.  The event is fully booked already, but I will report back, so stay tuned.
