Absolutely beautiful…the music and the pictures. Can’t beat Barbra’s voice…perfect.
This is so gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing!!! It gets me in the proper mood. Dashing off to synagogue soon but posted this on my blog, thanks to you!
Thank you, Connie and pagansister! And a sweet new year to you and your families.
Please correct the spelling of Barbra’s name. Drop the A in Barbra on the title page of the video.
Thanks, Lou. Unfortunately, I did not create the video clip, so I cannot make the correction. All I can do is spell it correctly in my post.
This AND Silent Night at XMAS – wonderful Barbra – whose better than you?
Gloriously sung as usual-no one better than Barbra. You don’t have to be a Jew get chills from her beautiful rendition. To those to which it applies, have a happy healthy year
Take a look at the proclamation from the White House as posted on B’net by the rabbi. It is most excellent, capturing especially well the hope of the season. In so many ways it also refelcts the expressed intent of Ramadan. We need to recognize that our differences are important, but the similarities bind us to the God who first made the covenant with Abraham. We need to recall over and over that the covenant was then extended through two sons named “Gift from God” (Ishmael) and “Laughter” (Issac). What better inheritiance could we ask for?
L’SHANA TOVA!!
