I look forward to listening to you on Betty Jo Tucker’s show. What fun!
For me, I’ve never really liked the term “guilty pleasure.” If you like a movie, for whatever reason, why should you be guilty about it? The same goes for the term “chick flick”–that’s always seemed very sexist to me.
Thanks, Dustin — as you will see if you listen to the show, I agree! If it’s a pleasure, we should be happy to admit that we like it.
What a fun discussion. Under the “anything Arnold Schwarzenegger ever made” category–I don’t think that’s fair to the first two Terminator films which are classics rather than guilty pleasures. I’m probably one of the few people who actually prefers the first one, but they’re both pretty great.
My favorite guilty pleasure: Jumpin’ Jack Flash with Whoopi Goldberg. I’ll watch it any time any place.
Thanks, Wendy! The “Terminator” movies are superb and classics by anyone’s standards! And I am with you on “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” too.
