One Reply to “Happy Birthday Mickey!”

  1. As the posters in the WDW shops remind us, “It all started with a mouse”.
There is more to this character than meets the eye. Someday i would love to do an exegesis of his filmography. But even more, I hope the Animation Studio head rediscovers Mickey – and decides to make another movie with him. It has been too long since The Mouse was simply turned out to do nothing more than sign autographs. Todays kids know him only as the emblem for a theme park. He needs to have a new vehicle to show us the glory that was once his, and could be again. Perhpas as the economy continues to get bludgeoned, Mickey will, as he did in the Depression, become a significant character offering a little escape and some of his old school mischief.
