Where Does the Code in Movies Come From and Will it Work?

Thanks to Slate’s Aisha Harris for finding this great Tumblr about the code used in movies and on television.  Most of us are, you know, paying attention to the characters and storyline, but some people can do that and look at the code on the characters’ monitors at the same time.  Or maybe they just hit “pause.”  Source Code in TV and Films has screengrab that do more than show the code; they decode it and tell us what it is.  Host John Graham-Cumming welcomes submissions (if you can provide the dialogue from the scene, he’d appreciate it).

In the TV series Revolution (series 1, episode 6) some of the source code of the Apple II version of Prince of Persia is shown.
