When I was watching one of this year’s most-admired films, “Boyhood,” there was an appreciative laugh through the audience when we got a glimpse of the computer game “Oregon Trail.” The movie was filmed over a 12-year period, and so the “period” details were especially authentic and telling. “Oregon Trail” is one of dozens of old-school computer/video games now available to play online for free.
