A Royal Wedding: William and Kate

Posted on April 20, 2011 at 1:46 pm

Once in a generation, the heir to the Throne of England has a royal wedding out of a fairy tale.  This week, Americans will get up before dawn to watch Prince William marry Miss Kate Middleton.  To get ready for the big day, try William and Kate: Planning a Royal Wedding on DVD or the Lifetime movie, William and Kate: Let Love Rule. And keep up with all the details at the official site and fan blogs like William and Kate.  You can even order a royal wedding comic or organize a Royal Wedding Sleepover!

  1. Hello,

Good information here but there needs to be a correction of William’s title. He is not Prince of Wales but his father Charles is. Charles is the heir to the throne and William is after him in the line of succession. There is a good likelihood that Charles will be passed over and William will be the next ruler of the UK but, Charles is still Prince of Wales.

    Cheers!

    1. Quite right! I should have known better. He is Prince William of Wales, not Prince of Wales. Many thanks.

  2. Loved the movie! Lifetime is also doing a 6 part series on the Royal Wedding. The first hour of it premiered at 11PM on the 23rd after the movie. The 2nd hour will air at 8PM on Thursday April, 21st.

  3. Peasants (At least that is the view of the monarchy),

They said it before, “Off with their heads.” Everyone needs to help disrupt the royal family and this fiasco of a wedding in hard economic times. Eventually, removing the royals all together. If you do not want to get radical, you can help by civil interference. If people are protesting, purposely get in the way of the police and help others escape. At least give the royals a verbal thrashing to remember. This is your one chance to show the royal family and the world how you really feel. If the protests are successful and laughable enough, nudity, vandalism, mockery, etc, then the royals will be laughed out eventually. Remember that the police cannot harm peaceful protesters. Simply cross the picket lines in droves and block the roadway. Use food; rotten eggs, tomatoes, paint, etc. This is a glorious time for the revenge of the British people against the monarchy. God Save the Queen. Here here.

    Anarchy

    1. Anarchy — We are lucky to live in countries that welcome free speech and protest, but I suspect your proposal will backfire and just make the royals appear more sympathetic and gracious.
