Tom Cruise Runs — Supercut

I love this supercut of Tom Cruise’s best running scenes, first because it shows the range of films he’s worked in over the decades, and the different ways different directors and cinematographers shoot the scenes (and some similarities), and because I enjoy watching Cruise, but most of all because this is such a gorgeous love letter to the movies.  It is a beautiful little movie on its own.

Check out Slate’s compilation of movie scenes set in grocery stores.  It has a lot of my favorites, but leaves out this classic with Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball, from the fact-based “Yours, Mine, and Ours.”

Movies have been fascinated by gangsters from the beginning, and this stylishly compiled supercut shows us some of the best well worth appreciating not just the art of the actor but also of the director, cinematographer, and production and costume designers.  Don’t you think it’s time to bring back fedoras?
