  1. Wow. What a difficult year to handicap. I’m a child of the 80’s and have a strong affinity for Star Wars and Mad Max, but I’m pulling for Brooklyn and Ronan.

    I’m not sure how the voting works, but if other cinematographers vote on the cinematography category, I don’t see how The Revenant can’t win. Shot with natural light *and* digitally? Unbelievable.

    1. I was sure Rylance had a lock but now it looks like Stallone as a sentimental favorite. I’d go with Fassbender, but Leo seems to be up for an “it’s time to give it to Leo” award. I don’t take the Oscars very seriously as arbiters of quality.
