Taps: Origin and Meaning

On Memorial Day, we honor those who gave “the last full measure of devotion” to protect freedom and democracy. Let us all keep their example in mind as we do our best to live up to the dreams they died for.
What a wonderful background to understanding Taps. I hear those first few notes and am immediately rendered speechless, near tears, for the gratitude I feel to all those that have served on my behalf. Thank you for this link.
