Malachi Kosanovich has a great Beliefnet gallery on six Jewish films everyone should see — all excellent choices.

I’d also add: Fiddler on the Roof, Hester Street, Crossing Delancey, Gentleman’s Agreement, and Advice And Dissent.

    1. Thanks, Lynn! I’m so glad you remember that wonderful film. I love Peter Reigert, too, and “Crossing Delancy” and “Local Hero” are two of his all-time best roles.
