  1. I have had two Confirmation Classes select the theme song from Cheers as one of the songs for their Confirmation service. (The plan is that it is their service to plan – including the songs we sing. I expect this theme song may make it into the church repertoire eventually) It certainly speaks to people’s hearts.

  2. I can see why it does, jestrfyl. Sometimes I think one of our most powerful and important struggles as humans is the conflict we feel between wanting to be known and accepted and being afraid to risk it. Certainly, that is a theme in many movies because it speaks to us so profoundly.
