  1. I think DISTRICT NINE has been overlooked here and elsewhere. SPOILER ALERT…some people think Shawshank Redemption is the great movie “of hope” – but I am haunted by D9’s last scene of a wretch making imitation flowers out of scrap medal, waiting three years for his help to arrive…beautiful emotional scene.
