Signed Sealed Delivered: From the Heart

New this week on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries: Martha Williamson‘s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From the Heart,” the beloved POstables Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty”), Kristin Booth (“Orphan Black”), Crystal Lowe (“Smallville”) and Geoff Gustafson (“Primeval: New World”) discover a 200-year-old valentine that could change history, while their investigation of a damaged letter leads them to a public figure who could be brought down by its contents. And in the aftermath of Valentine’s Day, Oliver, Shane, Norman and Rita are each dealing with heartbreaking circumstances.

Tonight: Tribute to James Burrows, Director of Some of Television’s Best Comedies

NBC pays tribute tonight to one of the greatest comedy directors in television history, James Burrows, the man behind “Cheers,” “Friends,” “Big Bang Theory,” “Will and Grace,” and more, 1000 episodes of many popular series, winning ten Emmy awards. Many of the actors he helped look good will be there, including 5/6 of the Friends (Matthew Perry was rehearsing a play in London). There’s a great interview with Burrows in the Hollywood Reporter. He is the son of the great writer/director Abe Burrows, who collaborated on classics like “Guys and Dolls,” “Cactus Flower,” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

For Black History Month: Eyes on the Prize

The landmark documentary series about civil rights in America, Eyes on the Prize I and II as well as a special new 30 minute episode Eyes on the Prize: Then and Now are being shown on public television’s WORLD Channel (available over the air and on cable nationwide).

The series kicked off last month and continues weekly through the Spring.
