My kids loved “Arthur” when they were younger! It has great diversity of characters and so many complex issues addressed in sensitive, respectful ways. They got to meet Marc Brown at our local library a few years ago, and he was the nicest guy! (We love him and David Shannon, in particular, because they are responsive to their child readers.) The kids have moved on from Arthur and friends, but I am glad they are still making new DVDs! Here is their picture:
