Pete’s Dragon

“Pete’s Dragon,” a warm-hearted Disney musical fantasy combining live action and animation, is out on DVD today. It stars Helen Reddy (singing the Oscar-nominated song, “Candle on the Water”), Mickey Rooney, and Jim Dale (narrator of the Harry Potter audiobooks). The first person who sends me an email at moviemom@moviemom.com with “Dragon” in the subject line will win a DVD.

  1. Oooh, I am sooo tempted. My son (our own “Pete”)loved “Pizza Dragon” – his words at 2 years old. 22 years later he is still a fan of the Big Guy – as am I. But I will leave to contest to someone whose kid is now two and eager to meet “Pizza Dragon”. I hope the winner enjoys hte film as we have for so long.

  2. Pete’s Dragon was the very first movie I was taken to as a tot and it remains quite high on my all-time-favorites list. I was a bit bummed that Disney did not see fit to match this new DVD edition with a Blu-ray edition. I want to visit Passamaquoddy in Hi-Def!
I love this movie so much — to this day I can quote the song lyrics to you. (and can often be caught singing them too!)
    Have a Brazzle-Dazzle-Day, Nell! 🙂
